First Aid Merit Badge Candidates:

For next Meeting (Oct 2nd) you will need: 1. Your personal First aid kits. Remember: These are YOUR first aid kits, that you can use for your entire scouting career, and you MUST carry it at EVERY camp-out. Pack them appropriately.
2. We know 911, so you need the Non-Emergency numbers for your local Police, Fire, EMS, Your local Hospital, Your Doctor, Your Dentist, Your I.C.E. numbers, (Including a local contact who does not live in your house), And POISON CONTROL. And, how you would call for help if you were on a boat, in Long Island Sound, with no Cellphone service. (Bonus Points if you know how you can call for help on the highway, with no cellphone service.)
3: Write out the definition of: Triage.
4. You should also be started on your Family's first aid kit. This will be the same as a patrol first aid kit, but you will have it for home use. It will be due in a few more weeks. Review Splinting and Wound dressing in your Merit badge book.
