Doug was a member of Troop 135 from 1992 - 2001, and earned his Eagle rank in 2000. Doug's Eagle project was constructing the deck on the back of the Prince of Peace Church, which is still there today. Doug mentioned that took over 800 man hours to complete, one of the ambious projects of the Troop. Some of Doug's fondest memories were of the high-adventure trips were in White Mountains of New Hampshire, particularly Mt. Washington. One memorable trip the group got socked in with weather while staying at Lake in the Clouds hut, and ended up stuck there for several days. Doug recall's while staying in Lake of Clouds they needed to water down the tomato soup to ensure there was enough to go around since we didn't know when we'd be able to get out! While in the Troop Doug had his three best buddies from high school and they still remain close even today.
